Eliane Siviero de Freitas

Eliane Siviero de Freitas was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1972.

She studied Law at the Mackenzie university, in São Paulo, Brazil, qualifying in 1995 as a graduate lawyer. She has post graduation degrees at Company´s law and Labor law, at  PUC/São Paulo university, and a M.B.A. at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-São Paulo).

Before graduating, she worked as Law apprentice during four years, at a law firm specialized in insurance and at Johnson & Johnson Company in Brazil.

As a graduate lawyer, she started her career working for Hoechst Marion Roussel in 1996. She worked there until July, 2000, when the company was already Aventis Pharma Brazil, a merger with Rhône-Poulenc Rorer.

From July, 2000 until June, 2004, she worked as Senior Corporate Lawyer for Bayer Brazil.

Since July 1st, 2004, until October 14th,  2016, Eliane worked as head of the Brazilian Legal Department of LANXESS, when she was named the CEO of the company.

Eliane Siviero de Freitas is married and has three children.
