Among other things, the focus of this year’s trade fair will be on air quality in the interiors of cars with leather equipment. To this end, the company is holding a seminar for trade visitors on August 30 from 12:00 to 13:30 in hall E2, room M20. Dr. Volker Rabe, head of Technical Product Management for Tanning Technology at LANXESS, will present the latest findings on VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and the minimization of odors from leather vehicle components. Another focus is the protection of leather intermediates against yeasts and fungi. Dr. Dietrich Tegtmeyer, who is responsible at LANXESS for the global development of crusting and leather industry relations, provides an update on preservation with OPP (ortho-phenylphenol), one of the most sustainable biocides in the leather industry.
