Color for life
Bayferrox® and Colortherm® pigments have been setting standards for decades. They are available in more than 100 different shades of red, yellow, green, brown and black.
In addition to standard applications such as house paint and tinting for paving stones, our pigments are used in exposed concrete, infrared reflecting coatings, artificial grass and wood-plastic composites. These pigments deliver outstanding lightfastness, weather stability and chemical resistance.
Available in powder, granulate, compact or liquid pigment form, IPG’s products also include special micronized pigments for high-dispersal requirements, as well as the highly purified Z-grade pigment range for cosmetic applications.
Our comprehensive range of technical oxides for specialty applications is marketed under the Bayoxide® brand. Optimized for diverse requirements, these products are used in airbags, catalytic converters, adsorbents for purifying water, and processes for desulfurizing methane gas. New applications have been developed in medical engineering and electric car batteries.

Bayferrox® granules permit dust-free and automated dosing of pigments for tinting all construction materials, including the exposed concrete used in many modern public buildings.
Paints and coatings
Special high-performance iron oxide yellow pigments enable the formulation of low-viscosity pigment preparations as required by the pastes industry. In addition to excellent working properties, they can enhance operational efficiency.
Colortherm® pigments are extremely lightfast and weatherproof. Thanks to their UV light-absorbing properties, they prevent plastics such as artificial grass from degrading due to sunlight.
Bayoxide® E33 is an iron oxide that has been designed specifically for use in the removal of arsenic from drinking water and wastewater.
Bayoxide® E16 is a technical iron oxide that has been specifically developed for use in the desulphurization of biogas.
Soon, iron oxides – one of the basic materials used in cutting-edge lithium iron phosphate batteries – will be found in the latest generation of electric vehicles.
