Education

In a world that is now more built out of information than bricks, education plays a crucial role. And as the business of LANXESS is chemistry, education in the field of chemistry is labor of love for us.

Are young people in Brazil prepared for these challenges? Do they have the scientific knowledge they need to stand their ground in international competition?

The PISA study and its results for Brazil

Every three years, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) conducts a study to assess and compare knowledge and skills of 15-year-old students worldwide – the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA). More than 400,000 students from 57 countries, representing 90% of the world economy took part in the most recent PISA research in 2006.
