LANXESS stores products from its Inorganic Pigments (IPG), Rhein Chemie Additives (ADD) and High Performance Materials (HPM) units at its São Leopoldo branch. It also has a sales office representing its Leather (LEA) business unit there.
Additionally, the LEA unit has an advanced laboratory at the São Leopoldo branch that allows the practical application of different products offered by LANXESS for the leather and shoe industry, on a laboratory scale, simulating production of a tannery. The facilities also include physical-mechanical and physical-chemical laboratories offering differentiated support for customers and partners of LANXESS.

In operation since 1987, the branch sits on an area of 5,000 m2, with a built-on area of 3,000 m2.
The unit is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SA 80 certified.
