Our Flavors & Fragrances (F&F) business unit develops and produces flavors and fragrances, preservatives and animal nutrition products. Our F&F substances are found in a variety of everyday consumer products, such as cosmetics and personal care products, detergents and cleaning agents, beverages, baked goods, candles, oils and animal feed.
Flavors & Fragrances refine and enhance products while maintaining good smell and freshness.Preservatives protect food from fungi and bacteria. They also extend their lifespan.
Our F&F substances are easy to process and have excellent odor and taste profiles.Our portfolio also includes specialty chemicals for industrial applications. Industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and building materials require this for their products.

Benzoic acid
We supply benzoic acid in various purity grades under the trade name Purox® B, including the purest benzoic acid available on the market. By the way, benzoic acid occurs naturally in various fruits, as well as in cinnamon and cloves.
Purox® B is used as a safe and effective preservative in a variety of foods, such as pizzas, tortillas, and fish products. It is also used in self-care products such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Industrial customers use Purox® B formulations to produce materials such as resins, paints, and plasticizers. Purox® B is easy to handle in all its forms and is virtually odorless. Fragrances & Scents
We offer an extensive range of fragrances: floral, spicy, citrus, woody and earthy scents, as well as fresh scents and soaps.
They are found in perfumes and personal care items, food and beverages, and household cleaning products.
Benzyl products
Benzyl products are important basic materials for agrochemicals and building materials such as epoxy hardeners. They are also used in pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and the flavor industry. Here are just two examples of our wide range of benzyl products:
- BelzaldehydeBenzaldehyde is an important chemical flavoring. With notes of almond and cherry, it has a characteristically sweet odor. We offer benzaldehydes in various purity grades. All of them are similar to the benzaldehydes found naturally in almonds, peaches, apricots, and cherries. Our benzaldehydes can be found in synthetic almond oil, food, pharmaceuticals, agricultural and industrial applications, among other things.
- Benzyl alcohol. Benzyl alcohol is a colorless liquid with a pleasant, mild aroma. It is a versatile preservative and solvent. In addition, it is used as a base or intermediate material in a wide variety of chemicals. We are one of the leading manufacturers of benzyl alcohol, we produce a high-quality product that is extremely suitable for processing at higher levels in the value chain.
Preservatives
- Kalaguard® SB is a consumer-friendly preservative for household applications such as cleaning, laundry, or dishwasher products. Our preservative ensures, for example, that harmful microorganisms such as yeast bacteria or mold do not spread and damage fabric softeners, dishwashing products or cleaning products. Kalaguard® SB is also one of the "Green Label" solutions, as it is certified for use in products with eco-label programs such as Ecolabel, Ecocert, Nordic Swan, etc.
- Purox® S is a preservative identical to those found in nature, which safely and effectively inhibits microbial growth in food, beverages, cosmetics, hygiene products and pharmaceuticals up to a pH of 6.5. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) as a food additive and is also known as E211. Common applications include soft drinks, jams, dressings, and sauces. Purox® S protects food from premature spoilage due to bacteria and moulds, without compromising good taste. In personal care products, it can be a good alternative to harmful paraben or formaldehyde releasers.
