PUROLAN® IDD and PUROLAN® IHD: versatile ingredients for cosmetic formulations

PUROLAN® IDD and PUROLAN® IHD are multifunctional ingredients of extremely high purity. They are manufactured in a special synthesis process, leading to a highly branched molecular structure. In combination with their low surface tension this results in favorable touch and spreadability on both hair and skin.
In skin care products they reduce the transepidermal water loss, keeping the appropriate stratum corneum humidity. As they are not absorbed by the skin and do not clog pores, PUROLAN® IDD and PUROLAN® IHD are safe for use in face care products. They are suitable for body moisturizers lotions and creams, sun and after sun formulations, make up removers, face cleaning fluids and good solvents for make up.


In hair care products, PUROLAN® IDD and PUROLAN® IHD lubricate the hair, improving combability without leaving an oily or greasy aspect. Both products can be used on rinse-off conditioners, combing creams and anti-frizz and volume reduction fluids.


Other applications include deodorants and aerosol and spray styling products.
