An initiative called "Green Cycle”’ aims to support socioenvironmental projects that contribute to improving the environment

From 21 to 25 May in Cabo de Santo Agostinho (PE) and Porto Feliz (SP), LANXESS - one of the leading players in the worldwide chemical industry - will launch the 5th edition of Green Cycle (www.concursocicloverde.com.br), a contest of socioenviromental projects open to communities, individuals, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Green Cycle Contest aims to select ideas and/or projects offering sustainable solutions to solve socioenvironmental problems related to climate protection, water, energy, environmental education, separate collection, biodiversity and urban mobility in the communities where LANXESS operates.

In addition to providing financial resources for the implementation of the best ideas, Green Cycle has an educational nature, which offers technical support to selected projects through workshops on sociolenvironmental projects management and fortnightly monitoring for a year, conducted by a specialized consultancy.

From May 21 to July 15, LANXESS will receive ideas and/or socioenvironmental projects to be carried out within the limits of the cities of Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Porto Feliz. Contestants may submit up to three projects with a maximum value of R$ 10,000.00 (ten thousand reais). A panel of judges selected by LANXESS will select the best projects to be put into practice with the participants. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, which will take place in August (date to be confirmed).
