Hans-Jürgen Claassen

Hans-Jürgen Claassen was born in São Paulo in 1968.

Graduated in Business Administration and Accounting Sciences by Pontifical Catholic University-PUC of São Paulo and Paulista University respectively, he has a MBA Certification in Leadership and Organizational Management by the Franklin Covey Business School.

He began his professional career as an auditor; worked at Arthur Andersen; was an Internal Auditor and, later, Coordinator of Investment Analysis at Basf Group companies in South America.

In 2000, he held the Controlling and Planning Division at Bayer do Brasil. He was Controller for the Americas region, while in Bayer of Germany and, back to Bayer of Brazil, he was Industrial Accounting Manager, General Accounting Manager and Corporate Controlling, Administration and Insurance Manager.

In March 2010, he took over the company's Corporate Controlling at LANXESS until 2017, when he became the Group's CFO.

Hans is married and has no children.
